A double-blind, controlled placebo-controlled study to evaluate the benefits of Ginkgo biloba P.E. on Mangiferin with premenstrual distress symptoms included 143 women aged 18-45 years who were followed for two menstrual cycles. On the 16th day of the first cycle, each woman received Ginkgo biloba P.E. (Gardenia Yellow) or placebo, and the treatment lasted until the fifth day of the next cycle and was restarted on the 16th day of the cycle. The results were impressive. Compared with placebo, ginkgo significantly reduced the Capsicum Oleoresin symptoms of premenstrual discomfort, especially breast pain and emotional instability.
Improving sexual function
Although there is no double-blind trial basis for this function, case reports and open studies suggest that N-Acetylneuraminic Acid can improve sexual dysfunction caused by promethazides and other antidepressants.
